He’s highly celebrated precisely because he’s an ideal teacher to most kids. Like most ideal things though, he’s fiction.
What most of his fans don’t know is that Tooru Fujisawa, his creator, was a bully himself. I forgot whether it was an interview or an afterword in one of the volumes, but he pretty much admitted to being one in school.
World is full of irony, huh?

Actually, the usual school bomber/shooters thing is to get ANYONE because they feel that most of the other people in the school didn’t do ANYTHING to stop them being bullied.

Actually, America has done stuff to try to resolve the school shooting problem. The problem however is that in order to totally resolve it, bullying has to be gotten rid of in schools. Sad fact, but it’s next to impossible to do that because many parents equate bullying with leadership potential.
