That’s because they don’t understand that “should’ve” is a contraction, not “should of”.

But you can’t fault them so much with its/it’s and they’re/their because English is inconsistent with its own contraction/possessive rules and special cases a lot of constructs.

My favorite is the singular, gender-neutral “they”, which grammarians love to lambast even knowing that it’s the only option available, and is widely accepted.
