Well, those “tokens of friendship” cost 1 million dollars a year to rent, even the ones which are born in other countries. So EVERY country pays that rental fee for EVERY panda.

China having taken control of the territory where Pandas live (after having destroyed most of the rest of the Panda’s habitat) is a twisted justification of ownership of all Pandas in the world. Pandas were of no interest to the Chinese (and were hunted by them), and surely would have died out, but the Chinese only took an interest in pandas when they found out they could extort money for them.
