I dunno, the Code Geass manga didn’t even have mecha. And for the most part all the scientific stuff they said was “Here’s your backpack, it makes your mech fly.” or “Oh, I developed this shield thingie, its hard to calculate for but I know you can do it!” or “Oh look, remote controlled mecha.” and the always popular “I made this nuke thing, but instead of exploding it completely destroys matter (pseudo-science fail) to be environmentally friendly…”

  I liked SAC more than the original movie personally. But that’s just my preference. Its still an amazing movie and I love it, it set the groundwork (and the budget) for the series. I’m sure Masamune Shirow it pleased.

  How about going back to the old system where half of every household did the work, and the other half did the house-work?
