if they can't remake ff7 in HD, at least do consider making ff1-ff6 in ffx quality. or just make it like the ff7(psx) quality. they surely can make money from this. *imagine a DVD collection of ff1 to ff6, now in polygon!

this is why people need to stop whining and pestering game companies about making a remake of "The best rpg ever". If a company is going to remake a game then they will when the time is right (which is likely never). This constant pestering forces them to release sub-par games to silence the bickering if only for a little while and if anything generates even more whining when people actually play the game. Look I'm not hating on FF7, honestly I enjoyed it. I don't however think it was the best Final Fantasy in the series. Each FF game is unique and honestly shouldn't be compared to the previous. I don't think game companies have become crappier I do however think we as gamers have lost our place. Where are the days where we enjoyed a game because it was a brand new experience?! We've forgotten that games are just that, games! They aren't something to write a petition about or to flip out and start bagging on the company that made it (the same company you said was amazing just a few months ago) *sigh* that's all, i gave my two cents.

square doesn't think right these days, my friend. it's almost like they are trying to run the company into the ground. i've come to expect low quality from them and cant think of a game made by them that i'm looking forward to.

just for fun, what are the top 5 games you guys are looking forward to? for me off the top of my head..

-metal gear rising
-the last of us.
-dishonoured
-grand theft auto 5
-the witcher 3

also, not really a game, but dark souls DLC

1- Get the PSX ISOs from the internet just under 3GB
2- Download and install PCSX, PCSX-Reloaded, ePCSXe or whatever psx emulator you prefer
3- Buy a good logitec psx-simil gamepad (coordless rumble pad 2 FTW!)
4- Play in your PC

why not release it on the android or the iOS instead if they are not changing anything? I'm sure those things are even capable of running FFX.

I actually still own the original PC release of FF7, but it's so buggy on modern OS's.

Like, it would work better if I had windows 95 or windows 98. Windows XP and higher it gets fucked up sorta.

Same problem with Grim Fandango.

So, I'll probably pick this up. There's plenty of mods out there already that fix the graphics a bit.

Now, if only they'd put it on Steam - their current statement is that it'll be exclusive to their own webstore. Yes, Square Enix apparently has a digital distribution store in the west. Yes, it comes with download/activation limits.

This company really needs that Meteorfall more than the fans do..

It's the fan's fault for treating FF7 like it's the holy grail. They got three FF7 tie-in games, a Cloud-centric feature length movie that made no sense, and a crappy anime series that had nothing to do with 7. I understand people don't like Crystal Chronicles but I did. At least it was a deviation from the usual crap.
