If you look at this list, it's pretty much all "catchy" songs in general, and more so from the past decade because that's what people are growing up with now. Some of those older OPs are nostalgic for us older fans sure, but songs like Let Me Be With You are actually kind of...annoying? Tank and Lillium are cool songs, but nothing I would jam to. I was at a con recently where every 5th person tried to sing Lillium at karaoke and I wanted to pull my hair out. OSTs by that of like Yoko Kanno definitely have great "musicality" but Anisong as far as OPs and EDs are definitely at their sweet spot within the past decade.

Yes, this list is not good, and very disagreeable, and also very limiting (although it's actually a 50 song list and SC decided to only list the top 20, if some of you decided not to click that rankings list >_>).
