  Why do you say they ditched otaku for this season? It was either going to be this anime of no anime for the season. Either way, you, as an ‘otaku, would have nothing to watch. Also, by your logic their other recently announced title “Kyoukai no Kanata” also abandons otakus since it’s not moe and doesn’t cater to them since it’s a show with actual plot.
