  Exactly. There is a dedicated self defense and CQC class for this PEN or Kubotan style weapons for pressure point striking. So although it’s marketed as a PEN, it’s use is a hidden Kubotan disguised as a pen.   From what I worked with airports and so forth, these self defense and cqb pens can be used on the plane or airport to threaten someone with less lethal to possibly puncture wounds to force the victim to hijack a plane or some type of other demand like money. Since these are disguised as pens, it will pass metal detectors and untrained TSA officers who use xrays as normal pens.
