This is the result of the artists having nothing to do once they’ve done all the basic modelling needed to run the game and are waiting for the programmers to make it workable.

DOA’s a great fighting game, in actuality. It’s just overshadowed by its other… features.

  They don’t have to emulate the PS3 architecture in hardware. Since Sony has the original specs and code, they can just re-implement the PS3 execution environment as a compatibility mode in the PS4 hardware. Kind of like how modern amd64 based operating systems run x86 software seamlessly. That said, I doubt it’s going to happen. It’s expensive and unprofitable, especially compared to selling all your games back to you again.
