“Please, Teacher!” and “Please, Twins!” both took place in the same modern day universe (characters, setting, etc.) whereas Ano Natsu is set in the late 70′s or early 80′s. 8mm film, NOBODY has a cell phone, etc. I did enjoy Ano Natsu but let’s call it what it is: a re-hash of “Please, Teacher” with a few plot elements changed to make it seem like a different show. And now I’m off to negative vote hell.

If you watched the last episode of ‘Waiting in the Summer’, (Ano Natsu de Matteru) you would know that there is a slim possibility that Mizuho MIGHT be her grandmother. The voice Ichika and Kaito heard at Lake Kizaki, IS that of Kikiou Inoe, (un-credited) who voiced Mizuho on “Please, Teacher!” and “Please, Twins!” All three series were created by Yōsuke Kuroda.
