Really, the problem was that they released the sequels on another platform, and a downgraded one at that, in the first place. Dead Space, Demons Souls, and The Witcher are good examples of franchises whose first games didn’t sell that well, but sequels that build on the original on the same platforms sold much better. If Sega hadn’t copped out with the PSP sequel, they might have had a great new franchise instead of one that was basically dead after one game. The shitty anime didn’t help, either.

  Typical SC sensationalist stuff, for sure. I do remember those FFXI queue days (that was for the NPC fellow if I remember correctly), but this new team for FFXIV will probably change it after hearing the complaints because they’re willing to admit mistakes.

  Kuroneko never had a real chance. I said it before, if you’re going to get into a series like this, you have to make sure you can take the main heroine, or else you’re just asking for disappointment with the ending. Luckily Kirino’s my favorite, but there are some other LNs/shows I just dropped when I realized I didn’t like the main heroine, because we know how it’ll end.

  Who didn’t see this coming? I suppose part of it is getting lathered up into a hate of the main heroine (partly facilitated by SC, of course) usually isn’t a good idea if you want to keep enjoying the book. Kirino was always my favorite to begin with, but she was also the title character, so I don’t know what some folks were thinking would happen.

• Top 10 Anime Couples:
  

  Not really, since she already had her time as his GF it’s really unlikely she’ll end up winning. Kirino’s most likely to win, but if not her probably Ayase if anyone.

  I’m a bit puzzled how she could be here and Tsukiko wouldn’t even rank, but whatever.
