I have traveled around China since 2000 and most of the above can be seen daily, in cities large or small. There was one yesterday (8/27/2012) precariously balanced on a scooter, sound asleep. The Chinese people have a fabulous ability to fall asleep anywhere. Entire offices turn off lights during lunch hours so the staff can fall asleep at their desks.

And honestly, some of them aren't so unreasonable. Slumped over a desk because the school doesn't have floor space for a nap room? Hunched next to your wares after draping a coat on top?

I've seen very similar scenes in university libraries near finals and overtime film set break rooms.
