Normally I’d agree with you, but the problem is in this day and age young girls have been given free lisence to ruin anyone at any time. Even a completely unfounded report of molestation is enough to ruin your life. She could have very easily just threatened to claim he raped her and that would be enough to blackmail him into submission.

As for telling her mother? Yeah, you try going to a parent and tell them that their 12yo innocent little angel propositioned you for sex and see how well that conversation goes.
