Comment on Wii U Graphics “Worse Than PS3 After All” by Anonymous:

The problem with Japanese development is that they aren’t pushing the envelope. Look at the PS3, they’re best, most innovative games are Little Big Planet and Heavy Rain. There are also solid games like the Uncharted Series, Infamous, etc.

The 360 has a great library, too. Hell, Halo looks like a friggin’ rainbow compared to most shooters.

The Wii’s problem is that they never supported their 3rd parties, and the system was never the target of hardcore gamers so anything that was a Nintendo mascot helmed game or a party game didn’t do well. In turn, their library was poor outside of the Marios and Zeldas and Metroids. And what is Nintendo’s problem with online? I read somewhere that one of the top guys said that they weren’t going to focus on online gaming because they felt their consumers weren’t interested in it. That was the time the Gamecube came out, I think.

Western developers have shown that you can do great games while still pressing forward. Inafune was and still is right.
