“if you do that in movies with motion sequences it’s called a homage” In a movie, you wouldn’t be simply copying and pasting the source material, then tweaking it a little. Homages can be done with drawn art as well, but that’s entirely different from just tracing an image.

It’s not a visual novel adaptation, it’s a light novel adaptation. The light novels being spinoffs of the visual novel.

It’s an artist belonging to the company that made the game that the anime is an adaptation of a spinoff of. He’s not involved with the anime itself. I don’t see why this is grounds to call the show a clone.

You are getting it backwards I think. Being x86 and close to PC means that porting from console to PC won’t be difficult. This matter has nothing to do with how to write optimized code for console. Why be pissed. Odds are when you have to buy your old ps1 and 2 games they won’t cost very much (ps store for example). Additionally remember when everyone bitched about the PS3′s price? That was because they were trying to do too much. This way they can keep their price in line with the Xbox and for the people who want to can buy their older games w/o effecting the people who don’t.
