A lot of anime is just not really aimed at the family but for a mature audience. For a lot of people when they see anime they think of western cartoons and get a little shocked at the more mature content that they weren't expecting.

Or, you little sister may say at school, "The cartoons my big brother watches with me have naked people in them." This quickly to be followed by the Child Protection Authority (or whatever) raiding your house, labelling you (in your 'permanent record') as a sexual deviant/offender/whatever. I wouldn't consider Sanka Rea "family-friendly" due to the /plot/ - evil/creepy father taking sexually-explicit nude photos of his daughter ("Spread you legs a bit more, dear..."). But, that's my family. Perhaps yours is more 'understanding'.

It's about what you can show without your (possibly silly-and-prudish) parents without getting punished. It's making sure accidental-stupid-bad things don't happen to you, such as your little sister saying at school, "The cartoons my brother watches with me have naked people in them", quickly followed by Child Protective Services raiding your house, labelling you as a sexual deviant/offender/whatever, and having your family broken up by them.

You should face reality and realize that normal people are not going to find nipples in anime to be acceptable. Ordinary people do not watch anime for fanservice. The people on here that make posts like "fap fap" and other ridiculous responses belong to a fringe group, and they're the ones that create the stigma of watching anime in the first place. If you want to increase anime's draw and acceptance in the mainstream, moving away from things like this is important. This show would have sold just fine without their inclusion, and to me, it cheapens the show by doing this.
