I am more curious about which girl was so important that she needed 2,700 votes. I’m pretty new to AKB48 but even I could tell who the top 8 were before it happened. I didn’t even need to vote – I knew all my fav’s would be top 5 and I even predicted #1 & #2.

If this person voted for Yuko Oshima, it was a sucker deal as she was already #1 in the pre-count and Mayu had Top 3 locked & she won #2 with thousands to spare. The only real ‘upset’ was Sasshi (#4) who inched past Minami & Mariko (#5 & #6) – it was #7 Kojima then he deserves a lap-dance (cause she was like #11-13?).

  Yeah, I’d say that would be a likely estimation. I based my initial assessments on who was most featured (and how they were) in the AKB48 Doc. Jurina is ‘pushed’ and she was even a featured “player character” in the “Beginner” PV Video several months back, so I knew the ‘Org’ thought she was fan worthy. They give a lot of air-time to Minegushi even though she is only ranked #14. Average & Nerdy girls seem to like her so they want her ‘visable’. I often wonder if the “Yuko & Kojima” …
