  I listened to 3 songs… its shit. Generic idol shit, but with 12 or 16 mostly cute girls, used to hide how crappy they are. To hide lack-of-talent, you raise the number of singers. That is why there are boy bands with 3-5 guys singing. Idols = Same shit, different year. There are GOOD Japanese bands / musicians out there.

  Madoka didn’t deconstruct the genre through. Even if that was the idea, the only thing that got deconstructed is the idea of overly trusting innocent wide eyed idealists. If you want to deconstruct the genre, you only need realistic 14 year old girls instead. Bonus points if they end up kidnapped, turned into lab rats, and their powers reverse engineered for burly supersoldiers who fire automatic rifles instead of friendship beams. Come to think of it, I’d pay to see that.
