  If you’re talking about the possibility of spinning off the entertainment divisions from their core consumer electronics, wasn’t that initially suggested by Danile Loeb a couple days ago? I guess Sony just pipped in about it now, which could be a strategic move to mess with MS, but I was wondering why that would cause more of a stir now than when it was first brought up.

  actually I own the original PS3 that launched and it still plays ALL, my PS2 games, the only thing that pisses me off is they took away the ability to make it a linux based system…the first two iterations of PS3 were 100% backwards compatible with ps2 and mostly backwards compatible with ps1 game. But then they brought out “Cheaper versions” which had software emulator, then they took out backwards compatibility all together. So They didn’t go back on their promise, as it was Backwards …
