  • So long as Shingeki no Kyojin is on the top 10, I don’t really mind what else is on the list because that Manga is incredible.

Yotsubato! also nearly made it top 10 for individual volume sales as well so that’s pretty good.

One Piece shits all over your favorite manga AGAIN! Mmmmmm I smell the frustration of the haters and I love their pathetic cries! Keep biting your lips because of OPs popularity and goe emo some more! :3

  • Anonymous says:

To understand why One Piece is the most sold manga in the world (hence I said it), you just have to compare the content of the manga.

Bleach – Cool images empty without nothing, 18 pages with deserted places, to many close up and nothing.

Naruto – Cool art, good fights, to many flashbacks, Naruto and Sasuke, but no development of the other characters.

One Piece – Bad art, funny as hell, emotional as hell, grandiose fights, original and unpredictable stories that intertwine with other stories, that intertwine with other stories. One manga chapter as enough material for one anime episode. You actually need to read to understand the story. SO so so many details!!!

  • Anonymous says:

Why not just going to read your mangas of naruto or one piece or bleach?, Stop discussing which is best, if one piece is at the top, is for something, if someone tells me that ¨I am a hero¨ sucks, i will say that’s your opinion, I’m not going to stop reading the manga.
Please stop you look like 12 years old.

  • Anonymous says:

One Piece sure is blowing everything out of the water (not intended as a pirate joke.) Maybe I should start reading it again. I stopped after the fight with the shark guy, has it gotten any better?

    • Anonymous says:

I wouldn’t call it my favorite but i would recommend picking it up if you have the time and want a very interesting story with solid characters, but it has ups and downs like every thing else.

Assuming you left off after the defeat of Arlong in East Blue, read/watch up until the end of the Alabastra arc. Skip the Skypia arc entirely, then pick it back up when they reach Water 7.

One Piece reaches its fever pitch in the Enies Lobby arc with honestly one of the most moving moments in all of anime.

It stays relatively good up through the Sabaody Archipelago Arc or chapter 513. Everything after this is not really worth your time unless you are a true fan.

The Impel Down and the Marineford Arcs have a lot of action but are no means up to the same standard the rest of the story is.

If you must know what happens after the Sabaody Arc just skip to chapter 590 or so and stop at 603. So far everything after this just bad.

lol u mad amerifag? u fags are the ones that always talk trash about the rest and when someone bad mouths yours you get way over butt hurt and start blurting out the typical bullshit we hear all the time from your fucked up minds. GG go fuck yourselves you bunch of KKK!

    • They’re all fighting shounen. No big difference there. Maybe one piece is the better fighting shounen. Who cares?

But one piece is also kind of a phenomenon. Like Pkmn. Everybody knows it. And if you skip the filler it’s actually still fun to watch. Emphasis on _still_. Bleach ain’t any fun anymore.

        • Anonymous says:

It was about 14 episodes of Filler when they came back to the grandline after Skypiea. After that filler it was “The Foxy Pirates Arc” before Water 7 Arc. The Foxy Pirate Arc was about 13 episodes cannon, however after the boxing fight with “Afro” Luffy against Foxy. The Strawhats were challenged again by the Foxy Pirates which was short, I say maybe around 9 – 10 episodes and then they met Admiral Aokiji which started the Water 7 Arc.

One Piece was minor filler, which went with the flow of the storyline unlike Bleach which was all over the ****ing place. Kubo sucks.

        • Anonymous says:

I’d say OP has more than 20 episodes of filler. Maybe 40?

By the way, the filler right after Skypiea was hilarious and it had some cool characters too. Too bad it’s not canon.

        • Anonymous says:

about 15 or 20 episodes of filler…unlike Bleach and Naruto with the 200 Episodes of Filler Each. Which is another point why One Piece is better. But it is also the reason why Americans don’t get it, because they are too stupid to understand well thought out stories.

In other words, Anime like One Piece & Hunter X Hunter is loved by everyone outside the U.S.A. Every time a Anime is released in America, they always say it suck, but the international community would think differently.

          Stupid Americans.

      • I believe what he’s trying to say is that only Americans with their sub-par tastes in manga and anime would be able to enjoy Bleach (and a number of other series Japan wouldn’t bat an eye at). Bleach originating in Japan is already a given and the point is that the native audience appreciates it far less than the foreign audiences, namely the Americans in this case and I agree.

        • Anonymous says:

          @7:11

The overall point from the original comment is that American fans hold Bleach in a much higher regard than the Japanese fans. To put it more simply, where Bleach is #12/13 in this ranking it may be #3/#4 in America (provided they buy their own shit instead of just reading online scanlations) considering how they still deem it part of “the big three”.

        • Anonymous says:

          “I agree, Americans are stupid”.
Keep up with the mental masturbation you fags. Keep repeating that to yourself and maybe one day you’ll get an orgasm out of it. When losers like you make generalizations about Americans it’s perfectly ok, but when one American makes a comment the entire country is racist and ignorant.Do the world a favor and fucking kill yourself.

        • Anonymous says:

So you have a problem with reading comprehension. The Oricon charts represent Japanese sales and Bleach is at 12 out of the top 100, purchased by Japanese.

By the way One piece and Naruto are on top which says all there needs to be said about Japanese taste in manga.

        • Anonymous says:

          @4:52

Dude you always going to get booed out of the competition to even say Bleach beats those Shonen titles.

Which means you have no taste in “Shonen” Anime that is good, period.

The reason why Japanese love One Piece more is because it has so many different ranges to it’s story. It’s Dragon Ball Franchise’s predecessor for one thing. Just like Dragon Ball, Japanese people can tell that One Piece is a series that can inspire future mangakas to do their own manga. That’s what One Piece represents.

Bleach and Kubo Tite horribly fails in that category with his inconsistent storylines whereas Dragon Ball and One Piece didn’t because they are prime examples of how manga should be.

What I’m saying is, for future mangakas that want to make “great” manga, they should follow Eiichiro Oda and Akira Toriyama footsteps whether it’s a harem, action, drama, or a mecha anime.

And that’s why the One Piece and Dragon Ball franchises will forever be on top of Anime and Manga World for all time.

And the only ones that will never understand that fact are Americans, because they are too stupid to realize that.

        • Anonymous says:

Lol what a fucking joker. If someone says OP is the best ever, yeah they’re wrong. (Although at least they’re on the right track with advocating a comic that deserves it.) Series like Nausicaa and LWC prove it. But One Piece isn’t supposed to be some masterful work. It’s like Indiana Jones (Cept for maybe the last one), just a bunch of well written fun and adventure. It’s not the best ever, but it sure as hell shits on Bleach. (HxH and OP are easily better than Naruto, Reborn, and Fairy Tail too for that matter.)

Hell, Bleach fails on it’s very premise.

          http://www.apforums.net/showthread.php?t=29130&page=437&p=2167130&viewfull=1#post2167130

The Fullbring and Nazi Quincy arcs? Proof that Kubo’s series is collapsing in on itself as it clearly shouldn’t have continued past Aizen.

    • Anonymous says:

Bleach = no plot, we just have 2 people who fight each other during 8 chapters. And paf he has a hidden power, and paf the other has a power-up, and paf the other uses a forbidden technique, and paf the other has another power-up, and paf the other believes in his morals and has a power-up…

Plus, the art in Bleach is really bad. For several chracters, they have the same faces and the only things that change is the hairstyle. There’s no background, and even when it is, it’s something like a cloud or a white and plain building.

        • Anonymous says:

Well, that’s very good for you, glad you enjoy it. I wish OP came out as frecuently as Bleach does (Fairy Tail speed and content would be ideal though).

In Oda’s defense though, he puts a lot of thought into each chapter and plans carefully how it may move the story. Not to mention that each chapter has a lot of detail that definitively takes a time to do.

Also he doesn’t take as many breaks as you claim he does.

        • Anonymous says:

LOL Atleast Kubo puts out chapters at regular intervals, not like Oda who takes 2 week vacations 10 times a year.

Oh, when is One Piece’s next chapter coming out? It looks like you’ll have to wait. On the other hand I don’t for my faves 😀

  • dunno why everyone is so like “OMG OMG One piece, yeah is awesome”!!!

that’s why all Bleach/Naruto fandoms are bullied by Piece Tards and One piece and its fans are the most hated and shunned trolls in existance.

The animation in one piece is 100 times worse than what the animation was in scooby doo. Piece of shit anime with its shitty animation. Not to mention the character designs. WTF, were they drawn for a 3 year old’s children’s book? Everyone’s deformed to the max. Oda’s fuckin amateur. Kubo, Kishimoto, and Mashima rape his ass for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    • Anonymous says:

Even the moderators and starred members at apforums hate the anime. It’s padded as hell, censored, and frequently has wonky art and animation. Toei stretches its budget over thousands of episodes for hundreds of different series. Not to mention One Piece has large and loyal enough fanbase to sell, despite having shoddy episodes. The only good things are the music and voice actors.

But that’s not what you mean since you’re flat out trolling OP fans, making you a large fucking hypocrite. If all you’ve got to knock on is art, then that proves how 100% fucking shallow you really are. One Piece may not be the best series ever but HxH, OP, and Toriko sure as hell trump series like Naruto, Bleach, Reborn and Fairy Tail. Their character designs are 100x more creative than anything Kishi, Kubo, Mashima, or Amano could ever shit out.

God it’s like some Twilight fan getting mad at a Harry Potter fan. Harry Potter may not be some masterpiece of literature, but its not supposed to be. All it is, is some creative, well-written fun. And its absolutely fucking beats Twilight.

One Piece fans make fun of those series because they fucking suck, not because they like One Piece. Check out apforums. Nobody ever hates on Shingeki no Kyojin, Berserk, etc.

    • Anonymous says:

In Naruto, the art has degraded so much that the character look like animated puppets.

In Bleach, this is worse and worse, the amount is drawing is 10x less than in Naruto and One Piece.

  • I must be missing something with this series. Sure, it’s a wacky shounen battle manga, but there’s not really any character development…or discernable plotline…

…I mean, Bleach and Naruto are both chock full of fillers, entire arcs of filler. Yet both seemed to have some overarching goal (Naruto vs Sasuke, Ichigo vs Aizen). One Piece technically has overarching goals as well (Overthrowing the world government, Finding One Piece) but I haven’t seen anything that remotely begins to head in the direction to finish those goals, only more and more filler. (Excluding the one noble they took down, which almost felt like a side-point to the arc as a whole.)

    • Anonymous says:

That’s actually a stupid criticism to make, because all these goals you’re talking about are linked and intertwined. That means that Luffy makes progress towards accomplishing his goal everytime the crew leaves an island and travels further down the grandline, because the goal is to reach Raftel at the end of the New World, which means finding One Piece, which means becoming the Pirate King which means discovering the true history etc etc.

Also more people should read Shingeki No Kyojin. Great story but I’m sure retards would whine about the art here too.

      • Anonymous says:

I agree with this anon, did not think for a bit that shadow of the guro-esque colossus was that popular, the art grews very quickly for any reader with encounters on such works as… Homunculus or Shamo and the likes.

        Very entertaining piece of work.

  • Anonymous says:

These Manga Shounens are bad. Naruto = Bleach = OP = FT = HxH = FMA = BAD! Bad story, bad characters, bad art, forced drama and a lot of “deus ex machina”. Only a child under 12 will like these mangas.

People need to read more good mangas, like Naoki Urasawa’s works, Akira, Nausicaa, Sanctuary and others.

  • Anonymous says:

One Piece fanboys are frustrated because One Piece isn’t a unanimity with the Otakus. Because this, they enter in a rage fury and start to Troll other mangas, like Naruto and Bleach.

Piece fanboys are the worst fandom of the world.

  • Anonymous says:

Why is One Piece so popular? Like so many of the characters are ugly, and the storyline is retarded. It’s like, WTF? I mean seriously. It seems like something aimmed towards 8 year olds not for teens and it’s still popular? Hmm..

    • Anonymous says:

      You sir, are fucking retarded.
If you watch an anime for the looks of the characters then you’re better off selling beans in the streets.

One piece is a Shounen, it’s aimed at young boys, But that doesn’t mean adults and pre-teen guys read/watch it, there are some females who also read and watch shounen anime, so stop being a little spoiled brat.

      • Anonymous says:

I guess you’re a pre-teen boy if you love One Piece then because it’s fucking retarded. Only reason why people watch it is for girl tits.

“GUMGUM” yeah gumgum my cock you little faggot. Why do I care about unlikable characters in a storyline about something where they get absolutely no where endlessly. I’ll laugh when One Piece is suddenly halted from being made due to the simple fact the author is fucking sick of it.

You think I’m a retard and a spoil brat? I’m not the one bitching and moaning about how Bleach sucks or Twilight 24/7 because it simply exists. I’m bitching because One Piece is pathetic in terms of art and story and that you’re either 13 years old or a manchild if you’re stupid enough to buy and put effort into reading it.

I think the japanese industry is just shallow, I mean look at how much of the RECYCLED SHIT they make every year, harem after harem, anime that’s degrading to both men and women, predictably lame storylines, censorship on top of censorship and praise for it? Either they’re blind or too castrated to bother to leave 2chan boards to complain about how fucking shitty their choices are.

        • Anonymous says:

Really ? “I guess you’re a pre-teen” ==> you’re a lil’ teenager who criticizes the popular things because he’s himself not popular in real life. Boy, how much are you frustrated ?

          “I’m bitching” ==> So you’re bitching.

“I mean look at how much of the RECYCLED SHIT they make every year”
How many mangas do you know ? You criticize them but it looks like you only know Naruto/Bleach/One Piece.

Go get some friends in real life, maybe it’ll make you less frustrated. If you tell me you’re not frustrated and that you have friends, go say the same things about mangas, with the same agressivity, and tell me how many will have rejected you.

      • Anonymous says:

You must be fucking joking. How do you expect Berserk or Billy Bat to sell as much as the rest. This applies to movies and books too. The more lighthearted something is, the more accessible it is to a wider audience. (Not just children, but adults too who are put off by certain things) It’s why G and PG-13 movies generally sell way better than R movies. Not only that but look at the rate Berserk comes out. There’s no way volume sales would hold up to the other series. You may think you’ve got good taste, but your expectations here prove you’re stupid.

Lol masterpieces like Berserk? Berserk’s art style is just as exaggerated as One Piece, just in the opposite direction. It’s like cannibal corpse in how cartoonishly metal gory it is. It isn’t any more complex than One Piece either. Boils down to a simple revenge story with Guts’s party eventually grounding his humanity. Also Yawara and Monster trump Billy Bat. You can see the love Urasawa puts into Yawara while Billy Bat comes off as a noir fanboyism. That being said, Berserk and Billy Bat are good series, but so is One Piece.

And despite all this Nausicaa still tops all of them. Just compare the way that Nausicaa depicts war and violence to the way Berserk does. While describing Bereserk I’d probably say that it’s awesome. But if asked to describe Nausicaa, I’d say it was magnificent.

      • Anonymous says:

Berserk and Billy bat isn’t a masterpiece, It’s obvious that Long-running mangas sell well, any Shounen beyond 10 volumes and a solid story will get attention and it’ll start selling.

      • Anonymous says:

Berserk hasn’t been good for years. Stop fooling yourself. As soon as Gats/Guts stopped being insane and started forming a god damn Dragon Quest party with a loli-witch, the manga plummeted. The only compelling thing left is for Gats/Guts to fight Femto and that will take maybe another decade.

Hah! DC Commics is trying to get every one to throw all their 1950’s up collections in the trash and they have hired people from Central America to go through every ones trash cans to pick those relics out and in 10 years they will be multi billionaires re selling it. Also, after 10 years, Oh the Green lantern was having a night mare he was a homo and now hes not, then they reissue a load of commics and collectibles again which your grand kids will have to wait 70 years to sell… (its called a scam like the bat man gay one as well)
