I don’t care for the art style either, but I’ve always found Fujiko to be very Moe.

I’m not too sure if you’re implying that Moe is an art style, because It Isn’t.

And the only reason Lupin III became as popular as it did was because of the original and memorable animes and films, if not for them it would’ve just fallen into obscurity and only remaining popular amongst die hard manga otakus…

    I do agree. However, I also believe that many long-time fans have come to expect the animated version to be more “family-friendly” if you will. Many of those people have never read the original manga and now they are left wondering why this is so very “family-unfriendly”.
