I disagree. Orchid Seed, Goodsmile, Kotobukiya, Alter and Max Factory tend to make great faces based on the original art. There's also Alphamax and they've doing great work lately.
As for this figure? I think the face looks pretty good, but Yamato is sometimes a hit or a miss with their figures.
