Suicide is actually considered by science some kind of “mind evolution” since our brains won’t let us do this. We are programmed to preserve our lifes and endure anything, overcome this barrier is a tragic evolution.

Not really news since Japan already had this martyrdom culture since the very first time they existed.

I don’t think it’s as much as people blaming themselves literally. But the Japanese society pleasure from elitism. It’s quite blatant when you see how often they take shots at other Asians when oppurtunity comes along. Japan pretty much claims top dog among other Asian countries when it comes to trying to save face and keeping a good image. No point in going national over such trifles. To me, especially the male characters are just put through whatever the story calls for, and their – how should I say it – peculiarity – isn’t the pivot point of the creative process. That way they turn into fish out of water in the more realistic settings, and into plot devices in the more freeform ones.

Agreed. Some look worse in the after pictures. I’ve never been a fan of heavy makeup on women and these pictures tend to agree with me. :)

I’m sure they are all utterly disappointed by not getting to have sex with an ugly basement dweller such as yourself.
