In Japan, overwhelming majority consider otaku outcasts unworthy of human respect. While in China, anime is considered a respectable niche hobby, seen with curiosity and not ridicule.

Ironically, some of the so called “free countries” like US, Canada, and Australia are where you can get thrown in jail for having loli material that harmed no one. China, on the other hand, bans all live porn, yet specifically allows any “simulated porn” where no human model was used in their making. The idea is that porn victimizes women during their production, same as prostitution, even if they’re adults. Drawn pictures/CG harmed no one. No victim, no crime.

Sankaku users seem to love to hate the one country that don’t treat them like crap. Goes to show you, who people like don’t necessarily reflect who likes them…
