This adaptation is terrible.
Monkey Punch had a lot of good ideas about style and setting, but for best effects, he needed someone less insane to reign him in. It’s why the Miyazaki Lupins are some of the all time best. This director isn’t doing that.

Also, even upotte knows that folding stocks don’t magically refold every 5 seconds. (73-76)
