I don’t think so. I think being a hikikomori is more like minimalising your not-home time as much as you can. I do what I need, but I don’t really like going out. However I don’t have a ton of money so I can’t have my own gym at home. I have a few dumb bells from an internet shop but thats not enough to do everything. I also need to go out and by food sometime and go to work too :/

Shoko-san does the same. She is an idol. Doing photography and music must require her to go out once in a while.
