That’s why I think Containment was a stupid idea. I understand the fear and paranoia back then but a policy that obligates a nation to go to war is an utterly stupid idea. A typical argument from Vietnam War critics, I know. Even more so is that it wasn’t our war to fight, which I honestly don’t believe it was. At least people got to see what war was really like.

Know what’s funny? 50 years ago their “Greatest Generation” parents were saying this was exactly what was going to happen. They took everything their parents worked for to give them and then pulled the ladders up after themselves, leaving us nothing.

Hell the only jobs in my hometown are fast food and walmart. They had over 500 people apply for a medium wage job at Mcdonalds and walmart treats it’s workers so badly they all quite or are either fired within a few months.
