  Would rather have another Black Hanekawa catgirl in poseable figure form than her. Is it just me or is Black Hanekawa super hot but regular Hanekawa sort of ugly/turn off? Its not just the look, it is that… But Black is almost entirely different beast. I never once had such a love for one character but a almost putrid disgust for another which happens to be the same person.

  Madoka didn’t deconstruct the genre through. Even if that was the idea, the only thing that got deconstructed is the idea of overly trusting innocent wide eyed idealists. If you want to deconstruct the genre, you only need realistic 14 year old girls instead. Bonus points if they end up kidnapped, turned into lab rats, and their powers reverse engineered for burly supersoldiers who fire automatic rifles instead of friendship beams. Come to think of it, I’d pay to see that.
