Asians(Korea, Japan, China) tend to be obsessed with having double eyelids. It makes their eyes appear bigger or more defined, and less "squinty", but I think that there are some who look better with the natural Asian lids.

It's extremely rare to see female idols without it, though. It's kind of sad when you think of how even kids get it, like young idols before they audition.

Mine's naturally uneven, with one eye having a halfway double lid, and another eye being less double lidded, but I think it looks fine as it is.
I wouldn't pay to get it changed.

It is interesting when you compare Asian Americans to mainland Asians, and their beauty standards are much different based on what they grew up watching or listening to.
