Then it would perhaps interest you to know that FMP's author Gatou Shouji is the Script Supervisor for this series.
Who knows, if he manages to pull this off and make this adaptation a success, Kyo-Ani might just "reward" him by adapting the rest of his FMP.
Perhaps Key ought to take a leaf out of Gatou and work for Kyo-Ani if they don't want Rewrite to suffer the same fate as Little Busters and get adapted by JC Staff. lol

To be honest, I'm not sure how to define this series myself, but moe shit it ain't. Hyouka is adapted from a novel series (NOT light novels, more on that below) serialized since 2000, long before moe became a marketing success.
So to dismiss it as another K-ON based on how cute Chitanda behaved is just plain ignorance. Though here's your chance to figure out what this is all about before making any conclusions.

Distinction between novels and light novels:
In bookstores in Japan, novels and light novels are two completely different species.
General fiction novels are sold in the general fiction section, and they're devoid of any illustrations whatsoever. Some examples of these general novels getting the anime adaptation include: Monogatari series, Another, Fate Zero, Kara no Kyoukai, etc.
OTOH, Light novels are lumped together with mangas in the manga section, and all have illustrations inside.

@04:55 Hyouka is incredibly good. I'd take it anytime over GITS. You really don't seem to know what this show is about, and I can tell you that the novel is really good, so this adaption should follow as well.
Instead of what you guys mentioned plus a 3rd season of GITS Stand Alone Complex and other greats I can't remember right now we get this Hyouka crap, Upotte which was considered good but turned into a ecchi anime, another Precure, a shitty 4th Yugioh series, Tasogare and Nazo X which only get viewers because of the ecchi scenes. Don't know what's wrong with the Japanese, I know they don't have to cater to US anime fans but why the usual sex sells/girl abuses guy and laugh bs instead of more Sousuke x Kaname (only tsun relationship I don't hate), more Section 9, more Konata (and as dub for these three).
Lucky Star Season 2 and Full Metal Panic Season 4.... the joy I would feel for it.
