Well, Kiri’s hair colour seems to disprove the hair portion being dominant anyway.

Yuuko has purplish black hair, whereas Kirie has greenish (possibly black) hair.

And only now noticed that Kirie and Yuuko do share the same eye colour. So that part does appear to be dominant by the looks of things.
