  Statistics are what you make of them. That’s why I said “allegedly” & “potentially”! The point wasn’t that I believe with certainty, but that other people think there’s good chance.

  I used the words “allegedly” & “potentially” because while people claim having a college degree helps, it doesn’t guarantee anything. It would help if people had some idea of what type of jobs would be available & where by the time they finished acquiring their degree before they started school, then you could choose a major you know would be in demand when you graduated. That’s not gonna happen unfortunately.

  What they mean is that if the good-looking guy can’t pay the bills, they keep him [secretly] on the side for sex & [openly] date/marry the not-as-good-looking guy for financial reasons.
