I agree with you but this article is about how Hollywood fucks up anime (or manga) inspired movies.
So Hollywood fucks them up not Japanese made movies.
In general I love Japanese (anime) live action movies, some do have that cheesy-ness but that kinda add to the overall feeling of such movies, it gives it character, IMO. LOVE Death Note <3

  Indeed. Japland is incapable of producing decent live-action drama/comedy/action for the basic reason that Japlandic actors are incapable of summoning real emotion in their performances. Male Jap actors are hamstrung by their effeminate, ineffectual & bland nature. Female Jap actors are limited by their ice-cold & sexless nature. Japan will always be a land that produces the movie-watching EQUIPMENT. Never the movie itself.
