Kirino Fan Arrested for Threatening Ore no Imouto Writer

A Kirino obsessed otaku has been arrested for making death threats against author of the Ore no Imouto series, apparently angered by the favourable treatment Kuroneko has been receiving in recent volumes.
Police moved to arrest a 32-year-old unemployed man in Tokushima prefecture after he sent 10 threatening emails to Tsukasa Fushimi, the 31-year-old author of the Ore no Imouto series of light novels.
His threats included “Die, you swindler!,” “I’ll make you regret this,” and “I’ll find out where you live.”
He also sent Fushimi over 500 emails containing Photoshopped image showing him being decapitated.
He has been charged for making the threats, which he admits, explaining that “I was angry about a slight to my favourite character in the novels.”
He seems to have been an especially ardent Kirino fan (or at least a hater of Kuroneko), as he also sent an email saying he wanted to beat the author to death along with Kuroneko.
Fushimi seems to have taken the episode in his stride, as he was spotted playfully alluding to the incident in the 10th volume of the series.

It's sad that these are the kinds of people the anime industry depends on to survive.
I like Kuroneko. As far characters go she's made great strides. She's really grown as a women. Kirino's already popular and loved - it would be nice to see Her and Ruri mature and help each other socially.
That's how I always looked at it. Kuroneko is the Master Otaku and Kirino is the Popular girl and they keep rubbing up against each others lifestyle till they meet somewhere in the middle- lol.
The sweetest thing was to see Kuroneko with her little brother - she was so sensitive and nuturing- the perfect big sister. cute being how small she is.

Personally, I think the author dealt with this well.
This is why some authors are driven nuts and quit.
Is this guy stupid? Did he even read volume 8, 9 and 10? The novel has a good chance at getting a Kirino ending. Though Ayase has entered the running. But still! Ugh another person that clearly says why I don't like to admit or call my self an otaku.

Volume 10 already put Kuroneko in a place she'll have a hard time getting out of. If this guy wasn't in jail, he'd be jumping of joy right now
