well this is interesting: the full list has Nyankoi! (volume 1) at 28th place, with 1,784 copies sold. However, this is apparently data for the BD version only, with the DVD sales not being included. It’s a pretty good series, so I hope the DVDs sold alright.

@Anon 21:43 Well, the creator has admitted to being a major fan of Super Robot Wars. Plus, when you consider that magic makes up pretty much all of their technical innovations, it’s easy to see Nanoha as something like SRW only with humans in place of machines. The flying and the flashy attacks capable of causing widespread destruction only help with that portrayal. “And it’s definitely NOT “fanservice lolicon”!” I’d like to think so, but honestly, those transformation sequences can be a tad …

I’ve seen enough anime gecko endings to know that doing this often leads to pisspoor …

actually, he supposedly planned out the ending a long time ago.

An irony must be noted in the fact that so many people bash on Nintendo, and yet one of their top system-sellers is a crossover featuring all of their IPs that these same people often claim to be too good for. Anyway, Smash Bros. still seems a good ways off, considering no release date has been announced at this point, so I’m hoping the Wii U’s sales pick up earlier than that. Pikmin 3 should certainly help this summer.
