Actually if I remember right in the Novel while he is far from uninterested he thinks that having a Relationship with Nyarlathotep or for the ones not knowing about Lovecraft a true Cosmic Horror is not a good Idea so you're dead on(at least so far I've read, I'm somewhat behind).

Anyone who'd read the Lovecraft books about him/her/it would know that you're probably better off punching your own ticket than hanging around Nyarlathotep for even a minute. It considers sending people off to eternal madness and damnation to be a fun gag.

I hear ya...It is a very common sight, but in this case, the male protagonist KNOWS full well who and what 'she' is...
If you look 'her' up in the Lovecraftian Lore, you will know full well why he bests keep his distance from her despite the current form that she presents him with, and no matter what cute appeal or MOE~ affection she displays...
Nyarlathotep is not one to be taken lightly (as is the other Outer Gods, Deep Ones, and the rest of the Lovecraftian creatures and beings)...
