I knew it back in January of this year, since I read the manga since 2011.
Actually if you buy the tankoubon like me they don't mention the anime at all. That's only in the serialized version.

Apparently this "intellectual individual" makes a habit of judging things without actually bothering to "check out" what things are all about in an objective manner. To us "fans" of mysterious girlfriend x the fact that our favorite manga is getting an anime is the best news ever, and no, this is by no means a "creepy otaku" animea as it has been suggested, it's just pure school anime fun.
