Make a GOOD plot, don't give a shit if it has been done before, you can always make stuff better, there's no "final best".
I don't expect people, who want their main characters heads end up in a sportsbag, to understand the opinion of someone who prefers a happy end.
I'm just saying: Why a fat kid who looks like drawn in 2 seconds? Why not some cool Kamina-style main character? Oh it probably has been done so often, maybe cause in every 2nd anime there's someone like Kamina who survives all episodes? hmmm....
