Your retribution is more of the same? I say imprisonment is the correct choice. By no means does anyone need to stoop as low as that person.

On the other hand, many animals are butchered today, and quite many without making it painless, either. And it’s mostly not done for survival, but just to derive some additional pleasure from a meal. Does no one see some hypocrisy here?

This is fairly much how butchering looks with a knife or similar implement. And with modern means (guillotine, electricity…) we hope we can kill more rapidly, but one wonders what kind of things happen in the brain at the moment of death. Perhaps it still feels like a long time in absolute agony…

  The show indeed doesn’t take itself too seriously but there is a story in here. Sure, it ain’t as serious as the 1st season but the new group of “Dark Samurai” aren’t all that bad/evil. More or less “honorable” foes who want a fair mano y mano against Jubei and her posse. Why? well, the suspense IS kind off dragging (and we’re at episode 7 already). And the “dandy” Keiji is also an equally awesome warrior……….to bad she’s a lesbian (as Gisen pointed out……she’s missing a lot!)
