The total votes cast in the entire poll, is equal the sum of votes for all 50 shows. This tells us that the author pre-selected which 50 shows HE considered "over-rated". Other polls which allow free-form voting give very different results.

If you liked the TV ending better, chances are you understood the story. People that didn't really understood Evangelion tend to like End of Evangelion better.

Also, it's pretty much impossible to understand the series and not like it, so once you did your homework, you will automagically come to like it.

From this list I think the ones I enjoyed most were Steins Gate and Evangelion. Bake/Nisemonogatari is good too.
