Japan’s mobile auction sites are enjoying a surge in popularity – thanks largely to the fact that the girls using the services are now competing on sexiness in their product pictures as well as on price.
“Moba-oku” (“moba-auc” – mobile auctions) are mostly operated by mobile phone networks themselves and are designed for the outgoing generations of pre-smartphones, explaining the poor image quality and compact pages.
