  How about going back to the old system where half of every household did the work, and the other half did the house-work? I don’t care which gender does what, but decreasing the demand for jobs by cutting the amount of available “potential” employees in half would cause people to hire out of necessity and pay higher/fairer wages.

  Taking away what made a game unique isn’t “being innovative.” Final Fantasy fans didn’t want innovation, they wanted a good storyline and a gameplay system they’re familiar with that’s easy to use. Now personally, I’m a fan of the Crisis Core/Kingdom Hearts style of gameplay, but it has the inherit flaw of making every enemy seem either super weak, or incredibly overpowered.
