I can’t say I quite understand the amount of dedication people show on characters birthdays, but it also seems rather harmless to me so I don’t understand the criticism of it either.

  Of course it’s normal behavior, people celebrate even the aniversary of some foods, or religion celebrates some fictional historic events, like christmas, or the death of kim yong-il, so Why we can’t celebrate the birthday of some characters?
