Fake nipples have been around for ages, Marilyn Monroe used to wear them when she needed to keep up her persona...
I paint on bodies of nude artist for galleries and such, woman commonly wear this small silicone thing to cover their nipples and we paint it over so that it all appear to blend. The type of paint sometimes makes it hard to remove by normal means and since the nipples are one of the most sensitive part you do not want to mess with it.
