Not at all, sharing everyday basic-needs experiences (grooming, bathing, spa related activities, cooking, etc) does strengthen bonds between people. It’s all about spending time together in relaxing or comfortable situations. I personally don’t see anything bad with bathing with your parents; the problem that some people have is that there are deviants out there who are crazy AND have offspring and might take advantage of them, and that’s where fucked up laws and witch-hunt thinking starts to get nosy.

  @04:15 I agree that Americans don’t necessarily need to change their bathing habits (in fact there are many ways of bonding and skinship besides bathing), but from the general feeling I get from the comments is that it’s a shame that in USA sharing a bath or bathing at all carries a perverted stigma when it really shouldn’t since it’s part of a daily grooming routine.
