it's not even a weapon you moron. go to it's youtube page and read the description. it says "PETMAN is an anthropomorphic robot developed by Boston Dynamics for testing special clothing used by US military personnel." TESTING SPECIAL CLOTHING is not equal to a weapon.

I think the difference in technology is too huge between the Japan and American robotic. Because Japan use electric/piezoelectric motor or other advanced electronic technology. And American use pneumatic where only a common automate is necessary with some sensor. I prefer the pneumatic for sure its the perfect way to do, but a bot with a brain can be cool..

Though most of the actual technology like this isn't in Robotics, that's why it's all outsourced to top universities in the United States and funding them millions of dollars instead of in some dark room in a top secret military base. Also all of those robot designs are non-combat.

I don't know how many people realize this, but it seems from a quick scan NOT MANY PEOPLE DO:

The robot shown is NOT a "combat" prototype. Spending an assload of money on a HUMANOID robot that could be stopped with a few rounds of ammo is fucking retarded as hell.

The robot shown is designed to test specialized clothing and combat armor, to assess it's wear patterns & stress effects on the body.

You know what it took to find that out? It took: Going to the Youtube link, reading the DESCRIPTION & then visiting the WEBSITE listed.

It took a modicum of common sense and about 3 minutes to do so.

You people are fucking morons.
