  If you look on his blog where he posts various pics of the recent chapters and clean ups that will appear in the volume releases, he has the most awesome ascii art reaction faces. He is absolutely doing it all on purpose, trying to get away with as much as his editors will possibly allow, and he points out all the hidden bits on the blog like the reflection in Rito’s eye two chapters ago.   Dragonball was different! Dragonball is more fantasy and off the wall (especially with the main characters hair). Shingeki has a more realistic flair. No weird hair colors and the characters are all western except for the girl.
