Considering the real de Rais’ crimes, it’s a most adequate display, possibly a little too tame… Regardless, I still deem the Elfen Lied manga to be worse (or better) High Octane Nightmare Fuel, for horror and not just mere gore inhabits it, which, in my honest opinion, also makes it ‘darker’ than Uziga Waita’s famous guro doujins.
