But you see, these religions, have stopped producing new stories. And yet they seem confused as to why their fan base is abandoning them. Expecting people to keep tuning into millennia old repeats and printing the same book again and again, it no surprise. Religion has served it's single useful purpose. It's time for it to sink into the history books for our future children to laugh at.

Your logic is bad, it is very much possible to prove that a God exists, you could for example simply show us an almighty, omniscient being that fit the definition of God.

What's not possible is to prove the non existence of anything, including such things as the Tooth Fairy, dragons, orcs, or for that matter, God.
The only thing you can do with claims of non existence is to disprove them, commonly done by actually proving their existence. For example, showing a real live dragon would be a pretty good way to disprove the claim of dragons not existing.
Ironically, the thing that God, the Tooth Fairy, and dragons, all have in common is that so far, no one have been able to disprove their non-existence, and thus, claims of their existence are equally not creditable.

What you can't do is prove that there is no God. Then again, you cannot prove the easter bunny, Big Foot, yetis, or a flying spaghetti monster isn't real either. Or in other words, someone that believes in God are likely just as correct as someone who believes in Big Foot or the easter bunny...

They have thrown away our one tool, our ability to think and reason, that have allowed us as a species to not only survive, but to thrive beyond the means of any other species on this planet. Our ability to reason is why we can go to bed well fed and warm at night. It's why were able to travel to the moon and back, and someday, it will be the ability to think and reason that enable us to travel to the stars.

Theism, at it's core, is turning of that ability to think and reason, because no deity can be argued for with reason and logic, in theisms there is only belief, no proof.

And for doing that, believes deserve no respect, only pity.

Science has no proof that god does not exist. However, science does prove that many of your previously held superstitions are just that.
Like how God didn't put the sun up in the sky because the sun came well before Earth. And like how we are made of mostly carbon, hydrogen and oxygen instead of dirt. And like how we weren't always in the form we are today, but evolved from microorganisms.
What many of as atheists think of religion is as entirely baseless claim on the same level as alchemy, magical healing and all the other pseudo-sciences.
While we don't claim that a god conclusively does not exist, but you don't have any evidence to support the creation myth either. You will find atheists far more reasonable if you call your ideas "God theory" just like we do with ours when we have inconclusive evidence.

Those things are aspects of religion, not exclusive to it. We've seen evidence of them in many early cultures way before religion developed.

I believe that it's my responsibility as a humanist to help my fellow humans correct themselves when they make mistakes. If I have a reason to believe that this is best achieved by rebuking or even ridiculing them, then I will do so.

And it actually feels horrible to read some of them because most are very harsh and insulting.
