You guys failed to see the point “loveability”.
Sure Tatsuhiro Satou or Kaoru Yamazaki from NHK are NEET and otaku respectively but they are certainly not that loveable.

Daru on the other hand is revered as a role model otaku. As previously mentioned, he can build a time machine and got himself a busty loli wife. He deserves mad respect.

He is the pinnacle that all Otaku wants to reach.
(the very reason I even went into software engineering in the first place)
